Investment Analyst

Working Hours: 8am-5pm PST US Mon-Fri (Can be flexible) Salary Range: $1800 - $2500 (Final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)

Overview:

Our client is a Singapore-based venture capital firm focused on the alternative protein sector. Its inaugural Good Protein Fund I is a US $34M global multi-stage venture capital fund with 29 investments to date. Portfolio companies include Impossible Foods, The EVERY Company, Super Meat, Ripple Foods and Avant Meats. Our investments span technology stacks (plant-based, fermentation and cultivated) and product categories (eggs, dairy, meat, seafood, materials, equipment & technology, ingredients).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the investment team in reviewing diligence materials for ongoing investments
• Prepare financial models for the investment opportunities leveraging the materials provided by the company
  • Historical financial summary
  • Forward looking financial statements
  • Comparable analysis based on publicly traded companies
  • Exit analysis
  • Cap table generation
• Provide analytical support to the investment team, including ensuring accuracy and validity of data and evaluating financial performance
• Assist in preparing investment memos and summarizing portfolio company updates

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience preparing financial models and diligence materials specifically for venture capital investments
• Conduct detailed, independent analysis of information presented to verify its accuracy
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Flexibility in interfacing with teams in California and Singapore via videoconference
• Investment Banking background preferred
