Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Level 4 NICU and cardiac PICU experience preferred License: VA license pending accepted (must obtain temporary before starting) Certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT required, PALS preferred Must-Have: Level 4 NICU experience Cardiac PICU experience preferred Working knowledge of aerosol setups and respiratory therapies Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and critical thinking skills Description: This position involves working in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. It is essential for the Respiratory Therapist to be competent in caring for patients in these settings. The role includes using specialized equipment and being familiar with procedures relevant to neonatal and pediatric respiratory care. The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality respiratory care. The position requires flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday during the winter season. The self-scheduling model will be explained during the interview process. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a variety of respiratory therapies and emergency procedures. A high level of adaptability and the ability to float to different units is required.
